Tony LaRussa is probably the most polarizing sports figure in St. Louis history. He’s easily the most aggravating sports figure since Kurt Warner took his spiky-haired shrew of a wife out of town. People who love TLR defend him to the end with cries of “Hall of Fame!” and “third-most wins ever!” Meanwhile, TLR cannot do anything right to please those on the other end of the spectrum.

Regardless of your stance, you must admit that he’s fun to mock. He makes it too easy. LaRussa is hunched-over, grumpy, frowning, short-tempered, and egomaniacal. Even though I despise him as a manager, I adore watching him sulk in the dugout, sunglasses on, pacing back and forth with that look of permanent disgust. It’s hilarious!
