Another solid outing from Jake Westbrook provided the backbone for a well-crafted game that featured some timely hitting. The surging Cardinals (60-49) whipped the San Francisco Giants 8-2 at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals gain another game in the Central, trailing the Reds by just six games.
